Preparing for you Skin Tightening Treatment

With our radiofrequency technology, you can expect to see immediate and lasting results that improve over time.  There are a few things you should do to prepare for the treatments so you get the best possible results.

Hydration is important.  The water molecules are naturally drawn to proteins, like collagen and it is these water molecules that provide the conduit for the radiofrequency wave, causing the collagen to heat up.  If there is inadequate water in the body, there will less water in the tissues and around the collagen filbrils. This dehydration will cause results to be less than optimal.  To prepare for you treatment drink at least 2 litres of water the day before and the day of your treatment.

Avoid tanning beds.  Tanning is not good for the skin and will age it much faster.  On top of this, tanning will increase your likelihood of burning during the treatment.  It is best to avoid tanning 48 hours prior and 48 hours after your radiofrequency treatment.

Avoid alcohol.  Alcohol dehydrates your tissues and slows healing (collagen production).  It is best to avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to your treatment.

You will have to sign a consent form and be screened prior to your visit.  This usually requires only 10 minutes, so please come 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.  Any questions you have will be answered at this time.
